Gaya-Gaya!

A riotous Philippine Hokkien and Taglish novelty song about copycat businesses, endless discounts and the neighbourhood shop that sells everything except a healthy profit.

“Gaya-Gaya!” follows Bosing Dy from hardware to auto supply, wholesale, grocery and finally a peaceful little kopitiam—only for the shop next door to copy each move and cut the price again. Nails, tyres, mobile load, bills payment and steamed buns end up on the same receipt while customers celebrate and the owner wonders where the money went. Beneath the farce is an affectionate salute to small traders who improvise through crowded markets, brutal margins and one more sideline than anyone can explain.
